I attended a concert last year by a visiting violinist. She was playing Tch.
Violin concerto and she got a standing "O" at the end of the first movement. Best
concert I have attended in a long time.

If it feels right, to H--- with "protocol". She was extremely flattered and
played great! (she also got a standing "o" at the end of the piece, by the way.)
