For what it is worth, Roger's sale of a LeBlanc Bassetto is indeed a
steal--this is what I paid for mine, 2 years ago, with (unfortunately)
all cork pads. They always seal, but they also always sound bright.
Mine had been owned first by a Big Name who oftimes appears on this list
and who replaced it with another LeBlanc; the pitch is excellent. THe
LeBlancs use an alto/bassetto mpc, what do the Selmers and Buffets use?

>It looks like I will be purchasing a Buffet Basset Horn (they list for
$10,600.....I think the discount puts them at about $6600). If anyone
is
interested in a mint, Brannenized Leblanc Basset Horn with leather pads,
mint case - please contact me privately. The new Leblancs are
expensive!
I will let this one go for $3500 plus shipping/insurance....considering
the custom work, it is a steal. Will be available in early April if
anyone wants to try it.

Thanks.
