As magnificently as Feidman plays, it is incorrect to credit him with
the start of the Klezmer revival. He is everything you say in terms of
quality, but Klezmer was doing nicely in its partial rebirth even
without him. It may be doing better with him but we must not credit
him with things that he did not do.
