Subj: avoiding mould on reeds

I can't say about reeds that have already been infected with mould, but I know
how to prevent it:
make a solution of water and Dr. Tischener's (available at most drug stores).
The reeds can remain perpetually damp in the solution and never form mould.
And unlike mouthwash, Dr. Tischener's does not contain sugar and cause the
reeds to be sticky.
