This resistance problem is due to Buffet abandoning to great degree the
polycylindrical bore configuration for the A clarinet.......and this
abandonment is gratuitous.
A clarinets can be acoustically freed up to blow with an almost identical
resistance and flexibility of Bb clarinet with no harm whatsoever to other
elements of the instrument.
Those who struggel with this resistance/flexibility disparity do so
unnecessarily.
