Re: Bass clarinets in A
The last time I checked you could not buy a new bass clarinet in A
(except possibly as a special order). There are a few used ones around but
they are hard to find.
As far as oiling the bore, last summer I visited the Buffet factory
in France and they were oiling the bores with vegetable oil. They told me
their bores should not need oiling----I was glad to hear that because I
have not oiled my 1963 Buffet for many, many years.
