1. Wash your hands after eating!!

2. Wash your hands after eating!

3. Wash your hands before playing your instrument even if you haven't been
eating.

For wooden clarinets, bore (not boar) oil can be helpful. Don't use Pledge.
That's a furniture polish and you will just get your instrument gunked up. As for
the keys, it really helps simply to wipe them off with a soft cloth when you are
done playing.
