Michelle, I have a Selmer mod 33 Bass Cl to low C. I have had to play it
standing. This particular horn has two rings for neck strap hooks. One ring is
above the center joint and one is below. Selmer makes a neck strap with two
hooks just for this purpose. The result is that the instrument is quitye
stable to play standing. If your instrument doesn't have the two rings, any
repairman could add one, and probably be able to procure the appropriate neck
strap.
