For pure finger exercises, a very useful book is "25 Daily Exercises for
Saxophone" by Klose, published by Carl Fischer. Among the advantages: it
is inexpensive, and can profitably be repeated many times. Start at No.
1, go straight through to 25, then start over again. Use a metronome.

For something a little more melodic, you could use "Selected Studies for
Saxophone," published by Rubank.

Slightly more advanced melodic and technical studies might include the "48
Etudes" of Ferling. There are many editions of this. One of the most
useful was edited by Marcel Mule, and published by Leduc. What makes this
one valuable is that while the original Ferling went through 5 sharps and
flats, and then 6 sharps. Mule added other studies in the keys of 6 flats
and 7 sharps and flats.

I have tried to use the DeVille Method which has been recommended to you,
but never cared much for it. There is so much material in it which you
will never have occasion to use.
