I am going to be playing the Reed 3 book in Cabaret. It is for the
clarinet and tenor sax. have any of you played it, and it so do you
have any suggestions for anything that is difficult in it. I haven't
had a chance to see the part, so I don't know what is like.

I played that book just last spring. I don't remember anything special or
difficult about it except that you have to make some very quick changes.
With only two instruments you can manage pretty well with one on your lap or
with the tenor hanging from your neckstrap while you play the clarinet parts
that come up too quickly. Check back to the discussion over the last few
weeks about dealing with dry reeds.

It's a fun and in some ways very moving show. Enjoy it.

Karl
