today's morning total only 10 messages! perhaps the "THE END" thread
is winning, and people will finally give up? (i knew the total must
be coming down when i saw i had less than 100 messages this morning
;-)

only slight bit of humour derives from the accusation that roger
shilcock was enjoying the thread. ah well -- it was boring to start
with, so humour's a bit much to expect.
