Subj: Overture to "Colas Breugnon"

I just wanted to know where if there are any recordings of the Overture to
"Colas Breugnon" by Dmitri Kabalevsky that is actually played in the
recommended tempo which I'm not sure of, but is unbelievably fast. All of
the recordings I have listened to are not at the tempo marked on the score.
My band s playing this, or trying to, and we will probably never be able to
play it at tempo, but I am interested to hear what it sounds like in tempo.

P.S.-Regarding Oboes: The Principal Clarinetist of my Band feels that oboes
"sound like ducks in agony" or something to that effect. She also does not
like classical music except for a few choice clarinet pieces. She also
does not want to be a part of this listserv because she feels that "the
people on it seem like they have no other lives other than their instrument"
which I know is probably true. I don't care to list her qualifications and
achievements here, but her statement seems unusual since that's all she
seems to do-play clarinet. I just had to convey her opinions in this
listserv, pay no attention to this little postscript.
