Okay Mark, so you have a point. There really isn't much of a place for
electric bass players in a marching band. Pep bands are all well and
good too, but the place where I see bass players most often is in Jazz
bands. Marching bands don't do just straight marching either, atleast
mine didn't, we also did a lot of field shows, and that was where you
wuld find all of that not so mobile equipment. Why not take up drum
majoring, another instrument, or something like that. If the school
doesn't offer alternatives for those instruments that were'nt intended
for marching, maybe it's time to talk to those in charge and see what
else can be done
