I'm not sure what you mean Bill.........my response was to the question
that was posed.......what difference does it matter if they learn [list of
works including Verdi's Requiem] on the stage or the field? The person
maintained it is a matter of perspective. I very much disagree with that
premise.......no passionate, dedicated music educator would use the
marching field as the way to teach a student music literacy regarding one
of history's greatest works by one of one of it's most famous composers!

Now.....if you mean it could lead to more teaching.......no problem there.
But your posting eliminated WHY I responded the way I did......and
presented my posting by itself - which is definitely out of context. But,
I know what you are getting at I think.
