Most music stores (Sam Ash for instance) would have one for $2600-$3600 in
that condition. They would probably only give you $1000-$1500 tops to buy
it. Remember, they are in the business. In top shape, a music store
(dealer) would sell one for $3500-4500. They ain't cheap...

$3000 may be the "value" of the Mark VI tenor, but only for an
absolutely prime specimen in perfect vintage condition. Jason is
unlikely to get this much on the market and will net less than $2000
from a dealer even for the Perfect Tenor. Life is real and profit keeps
a business running.
