See the LeBlanc home page--they are the only ones who do the "jump"
trill keys.

For years, they touted their "jump" keys as superior--and they probably
are--because the pad moved perpendicular to the hole and therefore
sealed better. Their "best" horns (the Opus & Concerto) use the
"traditional" trill keys, though, that hit the tone hole at an angle.

Interesting to note, though, that the discount price for the Eternite
(basically the Concerto w/ "jump" keys) is higher than the discount
price for the Concerto.

Note, too, that the Woodwind is having a fire sale on the
Infinite--which is the Eternite/Concerto bore with the register key in
the std. R-13 position (sharper left hand in the clarion register).
These horns are designed to be acoustically identical to the R-13, but
cost big bucks less. You can get BOTH a Bb and an A for about two
grand.

I would like to echo this query. I've seen all sorts of arrangements of
these keys - on some instruments, the touchpieces form a nice
stepladder,
whereas on others, they trace an undulating curve. As is well known (I
think), Leblanc mount them differently from everybody else.
