Or even worse, when you sit in the sax section of a big band with some
testosterone-addicted lead players. (Sorry, I know this is a clarinet
page, but saxophones encroach once in a while).

Fortunately for me, I love good lead trumpet playing--big band or Bud
Herseth. I'd just like to hear good eefer playing, too.

A trumpet player who hates the sound of high reeds ? Talk about
nerve!!!
Has he ever sat in front of the trumpet section in an orchestra or band.
You are lucky to even hear your OWN high notes. Damn, what chutzpah!!!
