I've been sitting here at the computer, contemplating that qualification.
Right off the top of my head, I can't think of a single university
professor of clarinet or professional clarinetist who "plays contrabass
regularly." I'm sure there must be one somewhere, but the phrases
"clarinet instructor" and "plays contrabass regularly" seem to me to be
dangerously close to being an oxymoron.

OK, now I'm signing off to batten down the hatches against the barrage of
nasty notes which are sure to issue from all the professional contrabass
clarinet players in the world! ;-)
