Re: Silver clarinets. I owned a matched pair, Bb and A in the early 50's.
They were not new when I bought them but were in excellent condition. I was
quite young (early teens) and was sitting in with the New Hampshire Symphony,
and the principal strongly encouraged me to "get rid of them." I venrually
traded them for anEefer. I was told that the Selmers eventually wound up in
the Selmer museum. Last part probably not true. Probably melted down for
candle sticks!!!
