Somebody out there is gouging bass clarinet players. I'm in the retail
music business. Bass clarinet and tenor sax reed LIST prices are exactly
the same! Tenor reeds are frequently used as emergency bass clarinet
reeds, and some people actually prefer them to bass reeds. (Rumor has it
that the difference between Vandoren tenor sax and bass clarinet reeds is
the printing on the box, but I cannot confirm this. I may have to do some
experimentation in my "free" time. *ha-ha-ha*)
