Hi Alastair,

I started using the Lyons C clarinet for about four years ago for my
youngest students!
I now can start with very young children, because the weight of the
instrument is like a recorder. And they don't have any problem with the
fingering.=20
Besides that it is very easy to let them play with other instruments (C).

I can't work without the Lyons-clarinet anymore, it sounds like a real
clarinet (very important) and changing to the 'real' clarinet is no problem
at all.
