I dont know if Id call it political reasons...they are in no way related
to eachother. Most of the first year clarinet players ion the wind
symphony play a different clarinet their first year. Im playing Eb for
my high school band and he asked me, since I was first chair. Its only
for another month or sooo...and next year I should play Bb in the wind
symphony. I dont think the wind symphony conductor even knows I play Eb.

First.....stop biting...it does nothing to help your Eb playing, and it
only hurts your Bb playing. Secondly, if you are sharp in the upper
register and flat in the lower....something is wrong.......! Finally,
if
you are playing bass clarinet in the wind symphony and being asked to
play
Eb....the conductor is USING you.........stop what you have agreed to
do,
rejoin the Bb/A community....and slowly work out your Eb chops until you
can double easily. You are too quick to agree......is there a political
reason behind your decision???
