Thanks for the reply. I do not teach saxophone that way; I was talking
about how I initially "learned" saxophone. Very "ad hoc," if that's the
word I want. Opening came up in my high school stage band, my
sister-in-law had a tenor I could borrow, and off I went. Not to be
recommended.
