I had the same problem when I started playing bass too. My hands were
always called baby hands. Anyway, I don't know if this will help but, I
changed the placement of my hands. My guess is that your trying to us the
correct hand possision for Bb clar on bass. While this is the right way,
it is hurting you. Lower your wrists so that you fingers point almost
straight and place your hands in the middle of each joint this makes lower
keys a little easer to reach. If this harts stop emediately. Also
experiment with your oun hand positions untill you find one that is
comfortable. Warning, if you ever go back to Bb clar you'll need to us
the correct hand position.
