A member of the International Clarinet Association has written our
membership Coordinator, Elena Lence Talley, requesting information about
an old clarinet that came from here stepfather. It is imprinted "C
Peloubet, New York, New York Factory at Bloomfield".

The photos sent with the request show an instrument of light-colored
wood with tenon rings on barrel, upper and bell of an ivory color. The
instrument has 5 keys. The mounthpiece is wrapped with string and has a
wooden cap. The tenons on upper and lower joint appear to be wrapped
with string.

She would like to know what the vintage and value of this instrument
could be and if it might be of interest to a museum or collector.
