Check out the camps associated with the Idyllwild School of Music and the
Arts (ISOMATA). There are several sessions at various levels, the top being
(or at least used to be) an orchestra conducted by Larry Livingston, dean of
the USC school of music. The locale is beautiful and the experience was
quite good.

I went there the summer after my Sophomore year of H.S. and I was invited to
attend the full-year program afterwards. What an amazing experience.
