How about "Clarinet Cadenzas and How To Phrase Them" by Gustave Langenus,
still in print (I believe) by Carl Fischer, number O 14O6. Only 16
pages long, it starts with familiar orchestral excerpts of Liszt, Rimsky
K.etc, then gets into solos like the Mann Concerto. Most interesting is
not the actual excerpts, but the way the first few are printed twice,
once as it appears on the page, then the edited version showing where to
speed up and slow down, etc. Good book, especially for those not used to
rubato.
