Well, depends. I tongue tip to tip on the lower notes as well, and with
them loud, except on Forzandos. Mainly because my tongue pressure tends
to increase when I forzando, so I still tongue the tip of the reed, just
further up on the tongue.

I DO tongue tip to tip on sax, by the way. Every note, Bb to F. It has
improved my tone and articulation quite a bit. Unfortunately, it also
means that I end up with a sore tongue...^_^
