I only had the opportunity to use a Leblanc C once......(not a Noblet
though) and found the tuning to be very strange - made the horn fairly
unplayable. I also had the same experience with the D clarinet....I was
trying to buy one a few years ago, and the one sent to me was perfectly in
tune down low, and perfectly in tune in the clarion register....but both
registers were over 10 cents off from each other. I sent it back for
another one, and it was the same result. According to Lisa Argeris, she
had spoken with Tom Ridenour about the horns and this problem, and she
reported that he said there were defects in the horns. I reiterate
however, none of these were Noblets.
