Jim's observation above is quite correct. But, let's also keep in mind
that projection is not the only issue......I play on a Bay ligature -
primarily because it responds correctly....that is, I don't feel it
dampens a reed too much. Projection is the natural, but not only
result......I can play dark or bright....not just dark.

I don't know about anyone else, but I am definitely glad to have this
information......I have not recommended Rovner ligatures in a long time (I
have one of the first ones released).....and now I may check it out again
as a solution to the other ligatures. Afterall, most of my students drop
them at least twice a day.....and with a Bay, that spells disastour!

Thanks for the testing and recommendation - I'm glad to know that the
ligature is improving!
