I hope that the reed strength does not mean the experience or abilities of
the player. Reed strength you should play on is always the strength that
is easiest to play with a good tone. I have had teachers that play on
vandoren v12 4's. I have had many problems with my embouchure and i now
play on a vandoren v12 3. The harder the reed you play on can sometimes
mean the harder it may be to get a good tone, in my case. just stick with
the ones that are easiest to play. eventually as you get better you may
find the reeds you are playing on will seem to become thinner and it may
be time to move to a harder reed. good luck!
