What are people's opinions on the Vandoren A-1 crystal mouthpiece?

I have a Buffet E-13 & just the standard mouthpiece that came with it.
Is it worth spending #130 on (I might be able to get it for #65 - is
this a great bargain?) - I am taking my grade 8 (UK Associated Board)
soon.
