The process I understand is to lower the finger tone holes...not the pad
tone holes.......except for the larger pad tone holes in the lower end.

I did this once with a Leblanc Eb clarinet.....and it solved a particular
pitch problem.....and caused a whole set of new ones.

A new mouthpiece ended up solving my problems, but you might want to talk
to an experienced woodwind repair specialist before adding any kind of
extension to a tone hole.
