I wouldn't recommend using it all the time, maybe before conserts or
auditions. Did it start sounding muffled after you switched to the new
mouthpiece?? I've been playing bass clarinet when a director needs me to
@-----. Maybe your mouthpiece has a different facing and ya need a softer
reed. I'd just try different reeds, or at least softer ones (Like bass
clarinet reeds are soooo easy to find @-----.=o]
