I'm reading through all these e-mail messages (135 to be exact!) and am
wondering as to the level of your community band. Suggestion are
ranging from grade 2 to the sky's the limit! Great music though!

My criteria for liking music is not necessarily clarinet parts but
rather the music in its entirety. (though good parts certainly help!)

Three more suggestions: The Hobbits movement from the Lord of the Rings
Symphony (Johann deMeij) and my favorite Lincolnshire Posy (Grainger).
Also, Steven Melilo's Escape from Plato's Cave is pretty contemporary
and explores a variety of moods.

The first two are both very expensive pieces but thrilling to play. The
Hobbits is very audience-appealing. You need a really good conductor
for Lincolnshire and good musicians on all instruments.

I won't repeat everything else that I like--they've already been
mentioned. I always appreciate music that was written for concert
band. Some of the best (not all the best obviously) music has been
composed for concert band in the last 15 years.

Oh yes, one more . . . Amazing Grace by Frank Tichelli. A really unique
approach to this time-honored melody.
