Responding to Jacqueline Eastman's question about a fair price for a used

I'm curious about the value of used "designer" mouthpieces. I have a
Chedeville bass clarinet mouthpiece. It plays like a dream -- a really
*good* dream -- the kind of dream from which we all hate to awaken -- you
know what I mean -- I know you do. (Where was I? Oh, yes.) I cannot recall
where or when I got it or how much I paid for it. (Hmm, I do sound somewhat
like a politician in that last sentence, don't I?) It is in excellent
condition. Can anyone hazard a guess as to its current value? -- if I were
ever foolish enough to part with it.

I have a clarinetist colleague who drools whenever he thinks of my bass
mouthpiece.

(Strangely, he doesn't drool as much over my [Cicero] Kaspar B-flat
mouthpiece, which I do recall ordering directly from Frank Kaspar somewhere
around 1967 for US$16.50. I still have the signed postcard that he mailed
me when I wrote him a letter asking the price and the cancelled check with
his signature on the back.)
