A day in the life of the NMSU Symphonic Winds I clarinet section
concerning Philip Sparke's Dance Movements, by Shouryu Nohe:
----------------
Josh Coleman: How do you finger that one?
Stephanie D. (Principal): Um...I think--
Dr. Van: [covers his face] Aw, guys, don't do that in front of me....
Shouryu Nohe, Tahna Britton, Stephen Moore: [cackles wildly until they see
their own parts]
Tahna: How DO you finger that?
Shouryu: Doh! Narf! Boint!...Does anyone have gun?
Dr. Van: A gun?
Shouryu: Uh huh.
Angie Jones: You can't commit suicide. You're sitting on the front row.
Josh: I think he wants to go snipe Phil Sparke.
Tahna: Okay, how do you finger THAT one?
Steve: Why do people always write stuff in the throat register?
Shouryu: Because they think that bassist sound bad anyway. If they're
going to sound bad, may as well make them sound really bad.
Josh: We're to have this learned by when?
Dr. Van: Tomorrow. We're performing the day after. Everyone back at 162
please...
Entire Sym. Winds: Doh!
Shouryu and Angie: We want a bigger grant...
Josh: Grant?!? You mean we get MONEY?!?
Shouryu: Not if you're a Biochem major, you knob!
Josh: Doh!
Steve: More money would be nice...
Tahna: Can we perform this at quarter note equals 80?
Percussion Section: [nonstop whining]
Dr. Van: [attempting to give a downbeat amongst the chaos]
----------

So as you can see, we _LOVE_ Phil Sparke... rassafrassin... :) ^_^
