I just had to respond to your post...I play clarinet in a community band
at the present time, after an absence of 33 years from participating in
any kind of band. When I was in high school, I played the bass clarinet
(not too badly, either! *s*)...and my favorite all-time competition
piece was Incantation and Dance. Since I haven't been involved in the
concert band circles all these years, I have not even heard it
mentioned. What a delight to hear that someone else likes it too! Just
some random thoughts!!!
