The Planets by Holst is always fun - and a great challenge. And as I
alluded to in an earlier post, Grainger wrote fabulous band stuff and his
woodwind parts absolute rock (Molly on the Shore forever!!!!). Fillmore
marches are good, too: a perfect Fillmore march that has challenging brass
and woodwinds parts is Rolling Thunder. It should be played at half note
around 200-240. It'll give your trombones something to whine about this
time...
