Why is there no standard fingering system for full (bottom C) bass
clarinets? I've recently played both a Selmer Paris and a LeBlanc full
bass, and the keys (from bottom Eb downwards) were quite different. Is
there any logical explanation for this, or is it just that there is no
standardised lower register fingerings?
