Dear Lane,

There are a few recordings of Concerto #3. I know of versions by=20

- Sabine Meyer, on EMI CLASSICS (CDC 54842), with the Academy of St Martin-i=
n-the-Fields (along with three other concertos, 2 by Carl Stamitz (#10, #11)=
and and one by Johann Stamitz, Carl's father).

- Eduard Brunner has recorded all Stamitz concertos, on TUDOR RECORDINGS=
(#7004,#775,#739). As far as I recall, Stamitz #3 is however on another CD=
(also TUDOR, #718), which includes two concertos for clarinet and bassoon=
(by Stamitz and Franz Danzi) and Danzi's delightful Fantasy for clarinet=
and orchestra on "La ci darem la mano".

There must be other recordings available as well.

By the way, the concerto #3 is quite popular here. About every student plays=
it as a "preparation" to Weber and Mozart. It's technically not too=
difficult, and a good introduction to the concerto technique and to the=
music of the classic period. Alas, the other Stamitz concertos are nearly=
never played... and some of them are really worth looking into. By the way,=
Carl Stamitz has also written a concerto for two clarinets.

Hope this helps,

Jean-Marc
