Well, there ARE several grits you can buy! The wet/dry (black color) sand
paper goes from 320 to 600. And, as a user of reed rush at one time, I
can tell you that 600 grit will take forever to wear a reed....heck, I
only use it to polish the backs after curing new reeds out. But, if I had
sandpapaer growing in my back yard, that would be pretty neat!
