Dear Sue:

In general, its best to play from an orchestral rather than an
excerpt book. Many of the International books, as useful as they are,
contain many mitakes. Buying parts is a good idea and its easy to do except
for music that is rental only. Kalmus is a good source for parts. They
have an 1-800 number and you will find that collecting parts will come in
handy some day when you are called at the last minuet to play a job or take
an audition.

Best regards, Tony
