It's funny how it's different strokes for different folks. I have
exactly the opposite reaction to Oliveris. I get most of them working
right out of the box, with minimum (if any) adjusting.

During that time that Oliveri wasn't readily available (I thought that
they were going out of business possibly) I was experimenting with
other reeds. I tried the Grand Concerts, the V12's and several
others. I was using the Grand Concerts, thought they were a decent
reed, but when I was given a box of the "new" "old style" Oliveris, I
went immediately back to them and use them pretty exclusively (an
oxymoron, I know).

I do know that several people that I know have tried them and do not
care for them. They seem to chirp for a lot of people. Pricewise, I
haven't really compared. I figure that if they work, the price doesn't
really matter.
