What a silly idea.

OK, on second thought - it just might work!

OK, I have a Bb clarinet reed, and the clarinet in question, and a beginner
clarinet book with a fingering chart, and a Korg AT-2 tuner...

The pads are in bad shape, but when I play a middle Bb (pressing a little
thingy in the front and another one in the back) - voila! The tuner says
it's a G#. I think that makes it a Bb clarinet. Even though it is taller,
and even though the mouthpiece is bigger around than the plastic clarinets.

Well I'll be darned. Forget what I said before about the 'A' thing.

Now it's a German Kohlert Bb wooden Boehm-style clarinet in need of an
overhaul.

Chuck
