I've always taken a dollar bill to clean out my tone holes and pads. It was a
tip I got from my teacher. (Do $100 bills clean better?!? LOL) Sometimes
if I'm poor with no money in my pocket, I use my silk swab. All these methods
sure beat blowing across the hole. I always got strange looks when i did that
from inexperienced clarinet players.
