I recently bought a Kohlert clarinet. It is made of wood, and is marked as
follows:

Vincent Kohlert
By
Kohlert
& Co Winnenden

and also:

21123
Made in Germany

I think it may be an 'A' clarinet, because it is just a little larger than
other Bb clarinets I compared it to. It seems to be somewhat old, and the
keys, which look to be nickel plated, are worn and pitted. The mouthpiece
is also a Kohlert, hard rubber I think.

I'd like to know a few things about it (I am a clarinet idiot, but I do
speak saxophone):

1. How can I tell if it is an A clarinet?
2. Were Kohlert clarinets any good?
3. How old is it?
4. What might it cost to overhaul/restore?
5. Does it have any value? Anyone have a vintage sax to trade?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
