Granted that the list did not transfer clearly when I downloaded the message (not
your fault, it is the computer's), this is the type of comparison that I have
referenced in the past. You created a list of what you consider important
elements of playing for ANY performer, and rated each element based on your
perspective. Your list includes a cross section of the many excellent
clarinetists out there today, and even if it is only a short list (i.e.
incomplete), it is certainly not biased--although the majority of players are
American.

I see an honest attempt to rate the players on the criteria that you identified,
but to be more complete, it would have been helpful to include why each player got
the rating assigned in any catagory, or explain for each catagory what it takes to
earn a 10 as opposed to a lower rating.

I have just one question as eluded to above. Is this a short list, or the
complete list of those clarinetists that you admire (I'm just curious)?
