I did a slight double take on that too. However, since one of my
other concurrent activities is reviewing papers written in distinctly
strange English by Russians, it rather passed me by.

Isolated like that, as a single line, it seems completely ridiculous.
Clarinet-playing avocets are a concept I just _can't_ get my mind
around...
