Once when I was a high school band director, some of my students were
walking home after school. On the way, they passed the local music store,
and went in to brouse. They noticed that there was a new clerk in the
store, a girl who didn't appear to be much older than they themselves
were. They decided to give her a test, so they asked her for French horn
reeds. She looked for quite a long time, before telling them
apologetically that the store apparently was out of those reeds.
